Recently, I wrote that a real man doesn't ask his wife for life to afflict her body with hormonal birth control that is now known to cause various kinds of cancer; he doesn't ask his wife for life to undergo sterilization; nor, does he ask her for sexual intimacy via a barrier of any kind to their full union. He doesn't offer sexual relations via a barrier, either, because that is against his own dignity and also hers, demeaning both, and playing at sex rather than being sexually intimate and loving. He certainly never rejects a child that he causes her to conceive. Abortion is not an option.
Rather, a real man accepts that he cannot have relations any old time he wishes, that even in marriage, there are times when sexual relations are not appropriate, such as in times of extreme work load, times of illness, or when it isn't prudent to conceive another child. He sacrifices his owns sexual wishes for the good of his wife and children. Most of all, he doesn't require sexual intercourse or other sexual intimacy with a woman who is not his wife for life. Any man worth his salt would not cheapen the woman he loves by demanding sexual favors in exchange for and as as a condition for his affections.
But what about a real woman? How does a real woman act around a man?
A real woman is aware of the power of her feminine charm, but she doesn't use her sexual feminine as power over a man. She thinks of the true good of the other, the man, as well as her own true good. She helps a man to be virtuous rather than tempting him to develop sexual vice. She is attentive to another, open and friendly without being seductive, though she is fully capable of being alluring when the time is right for marital union, which is sacred in its true nature and which can be a shared intimacy with each other and with God. Above all, such a woman is open to life, should God's plans be different than her own or her husband's, because she understands that God is Love and that He has a plan for her own unique marriage and family.
A real woman, therefore, does not insist that it is her right to display her feminine physicality in ways that tempt a man to impure thoughts or premature sexual actions. A real woman doesn't toy with men. She isn't a tease for the sake of pride or vanity, seeking conquest through her sexual attractiveness. She keeps something of herself hidden emotionally, physically, spiritually, out of respect for herself and for the man she admires. On the other hand, she is wise enough not to be so gullible that she is a willing target for any man who preys on her emotions, demanding sexual favors as the price for their relationship. She knows a line when she hears it, and she doesn't fall for it. She is emotionally receptive, but she is not driven by emotional neediness.
A real woman commands respect, and she gives due respect to a man just as he is while she calls and inspires him to the greatness that he already possesses as a human being. She is a true spiritual influence and leader in her own right as a feminine person.
