Raise Awareness: "Contraception" Hurts Women

SO GRATEFUL to Johnnette Benkovic for airing my story yesterday. I will be filling in some gaps that couldn't be covered in a thirty-minute broadcast, but I also do want to thank Johnnette personally and powerfully. Therefore, The Leaven is making Johnnette our primary project for the coming year. It is our intention to contribute 100% of collections earmarked "JB" in the memo line to Johnnette's ministry.
Of course, you can send contributions to her directly, but if you will send to The Leaven marked in this way, it will be a simple thing to let her know the impact of yesterday's program specifically. This will also give me a gauge of the population that agrees and the extent of such agreement. I urge you to help with this most worthy project.

Now for the gaps.

One side effect I forgot was that I gained almost 100 pounds in the span of the few years between 1974 and 1980. I am almost 5'9", and my normal weight was about 138 lbs. Eating disorders are another common side effect of abortion. Isn't it interesting how many women struggle with uncontrollable weight gain?! Little wonder!

What I didn't have time to say about the prayer experience when our Lord asked me to start a fund was this: A couple had come to us for help with a pregnancy of twins. The couple, both husband and wife, were totally deaf and also mute. They had moved from a big city to our small town, where the mother's parents lived. She was seven months pregnant with twins and had never seen a physician, nor did she have a hospital to deliver. Through the Knights of Columbus, we arranged for financial help. HOWEVER, after the delivery of perfectly normal, healthy twins (a boy and a girl), the husband learned through an itemized bill from the hospital, that his wife, without her knowledge or consent, had been sterilized.
This, dear readers, is the kind of thing that Margaret Sanger, foundress of what is now Planned Parenthood, would have promoted, and it is happening all around in these days of Planned Parenthood's enormous influence.

If it is permissible to decide whose fertility will be taken and whose will be allowed, what else can be decided about our lives by someone other ourselves or God? There is still time to fight back, and The Leaven, a fund to honor those who honor God by accepting the teaching of Humanae Vitae, teaching that applies to every human, no matter what race, no matter what condition, no matter what denomination, is a way to do just that.

I am an ordinary woman with an extraordinary mission to fight back with a fund in direct opposition to the lies of Planned Parenthood.

Visit our website to see how we, together as Leaven, can do that, and prayerfully consider if God is calling you to be leaven in this very important cause. I, nor anyone else, takes a salary from The Leaven.
